Full Training: Beginner to Captain
Begin with 2 days of hands-on keelboat training to earn your Basic Keelboat 101 certificate. Then step aboard a cruising monohull (or catamaran, if preferred) for 6 days of liveaboard instruction.
BVI Sailing Coach can arrange hotel stays for your first 2 days, from $250–$1,200 per night for two guests, depending on season and location.
By course end, you’ll be certified from Basic Keelboat 101 through Bareboat Captain, ready to skipper your own adventures in the British Virgin Islands.
Already Have 101 Keelboat Certification?
If you already hold a Basic Keelboat 101 certificate or can “test out” based on experience, you can join us the evening before or the morning of your 6-day liveaboard cruising course.
We accept equivalent 101 certifications (ASA or recognized foreign equivalents). If testing out, we’ll review your sailing résumé beforehand. If extra training is needed, we’ll discuss options for completing 101 either in the BVI or at a certified school before arrival.
